LinuxTag aftermath

July 5th, 2009 rbu

Just like last year, the German publication Linux Magazin, interviewed projects at LinuxTag and created a video collage. If you’ll skip through the video anyway, be sure to see fauli and me dance at 1:30 and lu_zero at 6:20. Ohh, and you want more pictures? Check out this site with pictures by Andie Gilmour.

Hi Robert! I was the guy that took the photo of you for the vanager.com website. It was the tee-shirt slogan that particularly tickled me!
Sorry it is at ninety-degrees. Vanager is respsonsible for that, not me.
Vanager had employed me for the day to take as many photos of people at Linuxtag as I could. I supplied over seventy on 25.07.09 and they were posted to their website as you can see.
The thing is, they have refused to pay me. Apparently my flash was too bright, they say. That hasn’t stopped them publishing them to the web and keeping them there. They haven’t answered my emails and I have submitted my invoice three times now, with no response.
So, sweet though your photo is, as far as I am concerned Vanager GmbH are using my images without my permission and without owning the copyright.
Just thought you and your readers would like to know that :¬)
    Andie
